Through the Rother Fisheries Association, Ashford Angling Society members gain access to some of the most picturesque stretches of the River Rother in the South East. This beautiful, meandering river offers classic coarse fishing with plenty of character, from slow glides and gentle bends to deeper holding areas that reward careful watercraft.

Further information can be found on their website.

Singleton Lake silver-fish venue located at Bucksford Lane in the heart of Ashford

Singleton Lake A Leading Silver-Fish Venue in Ashford

Located on Bucksford Lane in the heart of Ashford, Singleton Lake is one of our most popular and accessible still waters. With over 30 pegs and a strong reputation as a silver-fish venue, it provides consistent sport throughout the year for both pleasure anglers and more experienced coarse fishermen.

Singleton is best known for its superb stocks of Bream and Roach, which respond well to float and feeder tactics in all seasons. Carp are present but rarely caught, allowing the lake to retain a relaxed, traditional feel focused on natural silver-fish sport.

During the winter months, Singleton Lake also offers exciting light Pike fishing. While the Pike are not huge, they provide enjoyable, active sessions when the silver fish begin to shoal, adding extra variety to your membership and making Singleton a genuine year-round venue.

Spider Hall Premier Syndicate Lakes which our members can fish.

Spider Hall Fishery is one of the most highly regarded, exclusive venues available to Ashford Angling Society members. Set in tranquil surroundings and carefully controlled, it offers a unique opportunity to enjoy both day and night fishing in a secure, well-managed environment.

To make a booking ...

Access to Spider Hall is limited and managed via a simple booking system:

  • Members book through the Society Chairman.
  • Tickets, a key and rules are collected from and returned to the Chairman.
  • During the booking process you will agree where to collect and return the tickets and key.

More information is available on the notice board on the building in the main car park.

How it works ...

Day fishing at Spider Hall is free from dawn until dusk, while night fishing is available at just £5 per 24 hours, payable to the club. Only two tickets are in circulation at any one time, with a maximum stay of 72 hours per peg before rebooking is required. Micro-barbed hooks are mandatory, and priority is given to Spider Hall members on a first-come, first-served basis.

This approach keeps angling pressure sensible, maintains the quiet, exclusive feel of the venue and ensures fair opportunities for all members who wish to fish here.
